Bird Coin Purse and Fabric Buttons
I was very taken with the bird handbag and matching coin purses in a Japanese craft book that Angry Chicken posted (scroll down to the April 13 entry), so while I am waiting for my book to arrive I attempted to make the coin purse on my own. I'd like to add some more details when I do it again but I think it came out pretty cute anyway.
Here's a look at the inside.
I've also been having fun making these little fabric buttons. I should have put something in the picture so you could see the scale because they are very small, only about 1/2" in diameter.

The seed beads are actually good for the scale. most people know the size of seed beads.. The right-most one looks like a really small seed bead.. the rest look like medium to large sized ones.
They're very cute buttons and an ULTRA cute coin purse

I love the buttons. They would be perfect for hair pins. I have two adorable fabric hair pins from japan that are very similar. They look like tiny pin cushions with tassels in the center.

Oh, that is so sweet! (the bird purse). I love your fabric choices and I'm so envious that you know how to insert a zipper. Is it hard?
