The holiday weekend brings several flea markets to town which I always look forward to but end up buying very little. I miss weekend flea markets from when I lived in California so my favorite part about going is just looking and enjoying the atmosphere. The prices get higher every year and it's tough for me to justify any purchases when I can get stuff at thrift stores for a fraction of the price. So...these buttons are my big purchase for the whole weekend! The seller had a huge box of buttons that I could have sorted through forever but I love the ones I got and I really do *need* these!

I think these are my favorites, especially the sombrero button, so cute!

Wow...gotta admit, I was kinda surprised to see the sombrero button. I inherited my dear grandma's button collection when she moved to a retirement community, and I have two sets of those buttons (light and dark). I love them, I don't know what I'll do with them yet, but they (and the others) are delightful, as are yours! I love the striped one and the flower one...now if only my local thrift stores got buttons sometimes, I'd be one happy girl.

I am suffering from button envy!

I love your buttons! Collecting old buttons is great fun. The only problem is - it's not always easy to decide to use them...

they all look wonderful!! you are so lucky =)

Always good to have/find interesting buttons...

ole!! we have some really great thrift stores and an "antique store" that has some really really cheap stuff, for example i got a mint condition still in the box dressmaker's form, a little kid sized coatrack with a puppy head and a strange big wall hung vitorian coatrack and a wooden sewing basket for 45 bucks. mm hm. and i dressed up effie, my dummy with an outfit and put her downstairs to hold my purse. i loooove bargains!!

pink polka dots!!! LOVE IT!

what great finds! I have never seen a sombrero button before!!

Gorgeous buttons! I am quite jealous. :)

oooh so pretty so pretty! i love the green one on the right in the second picture, and the sombrero wonderful. no wonder the expression "cute as a button" came about!

Of course you needed those buttons!!! Don't we always need more buttons?

Ooh....fun! Can you ever have too many wonderful buttons? I think not. ;)And bravo to you for showing restraint on everything else.

Wow! Gorgeous selection!

Your button finds are fantastic - and beautifully photographed.

Great buttons. What a wonderful find.
