New Pincushions!

Bed_of_roses_red

Well, it's finally happened! I put up some new pincushions in the shop :) My eyes are sore today. I've noticed that I need to wear my reading glasses more and more lately. I'd like to put it off to eye strain but I have a feeling that it's my age showing.

Baubles_2
For lack of a better name, I call this one Baubles. The little puffs are covered in opalescent seed beads.

Middle_earth_1_1
This is Middle Earth. I had a lot of fun with this style. You can see a close-up of the embroidery on the side in the shop.

Ringswatermelon
This is a variation on the Rings one I did before. The color is so pretty, kind of a dusty pale red, I call it watermelon.

P1010078
Here is another Bed of Roses but in a yellow version.

Middle_earth_2
Middle Earth version 2. The embroidery around the side are the tree roots. Again, there's a close-up of the stitching in the shop.

Ringsmulti
Rings version with a variety of different colored dots.

Now, go shop! Bella Dia Designs

Your pincushions are wonderful!!
I live in the Deep South and wool
felt is non-existent in our few
fabric stores. Would you please
suggest a good mail order shop for
wool felt? I'm more of a tradionalist, so the roses really spoke to me. I loved the watermelon color in the rings pincushion - the small rings are remnescent of buttons. Also, after working thirteen years in the environmental arena the middle earth did get my attention.
You are obviously a very talented
needleartist with a love of color. I have loved playing with color (in any medium) since I received my first box of crayons 50+ years ago. Thanks for the inspiration!!!

These pincushions are so cute!! I love the cactus!!

wow wow wow! I just wanna eat them all up! the look so good!

Excellent. So beautiful!! You've obviously been working very hard.

Oh the second one from the top is so dreamy - but I love them all!!

I've always been a big fan of your pincushions and I must say I'm blown away by the Bed of Roses! And the embroidery on Middle Earths are beautiful =D

By the way, I think the Baubles looks like some sort of cactus =)

I keep coming back just to look at your wonderful creations. I plan to buy one - the problem is making up my mind as they are so scrumptious (the ones I like look edible).

Your pincushions are so mesmerizing! Your photographs are equally so! :) Fab job, Cassi!

oh my goodness. fantastic. i just can't believe how cool a pin cushion can be.

ahh... i love them all, especially the baubles one . beautiful!

Those are just darling! I love the baubles one best, but they are all delightful.

Very, very cute!

Very, very cute!

Ohh....yum!! I can't decide which I like best--they're all so fabulous as usual. Middle Earth is very, very cool.

They are ALL wonderful, but Middle Earth reminds me of some fantastic dream landscape, like something out of "The Little Prince". I MUST GO FIND SOME WOOL FELT. Sounds like a winter project to me.

Your pin cushions are beautiful. I love the roses ones. I've just made one for my sister's birthday having been very inspired by the style of yours and using the same shape but coming up with my own decorations. I hope you take this as a complement. Thanks for the lovely ideas.

Oh Cassi! It's amazing how the creativity just oozes out of you!

Baubles is my favorite. They are like tiny sculptures!
