Despite promising me two years ago that he wouldn't get any older, my littlest, Joe, turned 7 the day after Halloween. 7! (sigh) How can that be? Time keeps marching on. We celebrated with a Halloween theme this year, the first time we've done that. Usually as soon as Halloween is over I have to start tearing down the pumpkins and bats and quickly re-decorate for whatever our birthday theme is that year. Thanks to other crafty blogger friends I didn't have to look far for inspiration, especially this year when my mind couldn't stay focused long.
There was a bit of a Day of the Dead slant to our activities and we made these masks taken right from Theresa at Rock-Paper-Scissors and then we created calaveras out of Fimo that I copied from Kelly at Buzzville (sorry, no pic). Thank you ladies, you saved the day!
Treat bags, my favorite part, were plastic trick-or-treat pumpkins.
I don't have to worry about any more birthday parties until May, phew; now, onto the winter holidays!
