Inspiration Collages

Collagescrapbook001
#1

Yeah for January!! More and more, January is getting to be one of my favorite months. The kids and I have been working really hard decluttering the house and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning! I'd love to have a tag sale here on my blog of some of the things I'm ready to part with if I can get it togther while I'm still in the mood. I haven't done as much crafting as I would have liked but after getting rid of a lot of the post-holiday clutter I'm definitely moving in that direction. One of my goals for the year is to expand on my shop offerings and I've got some fun ideas that I can't wait to get started on.

I've been going through my piles of magazines too, tearing out pictures that I like and that inspire me. Instead of leaving the torn pages in a pile like I usually do, I've been creating "inspiration collages" in a large wire-bound black journal. So today, I'm sharing some of the pages with you...

What have you found to be the best adhesive for magazine cut-outs? (Looking to avoid the wrinkling...)

Fabulous idea! Thanks for sharing the inspiration!

I started the same thing last spring. I'm sorely behind though!! The magazine pile is building again! It's a great idea and your pages look beautiful.

be careful...cutting and pasting magazine inspirations is dangerous! i have books full of these! on the other hand when i´m looking for ideas i just whip them out and always find something helpful. (and i noticed we must read some of the same magazines as i have some of the same pictures in mine!)

All right, what a good idea! I'm using it for sure, thankyou! It looks like you are the inspiration!

What a great way to organize your inspiration ideas and create at the same time! I too have a huge pile of magazine pages--I'll get to work!

I've been meaning to do this for ages...your pages look wonderful. You've spurred me on. Thanks.

What a great way to collect your inspiration! I just have file folders stashed away...i may have to consider this idea. I recognize some of those pictures in your collages. they are great.
ps--the kitten arrived!!

What a beautiful idea!

Happy January! I feel the same way about it. "Out with the Old--In with the New!!" I've also been cleaning and updating my project notebooks. I like your idea of collaging images. How lovely those are. I use 3-ring binders with plastic sleeves to save stuff in. I've got lots of things I'm ready to part with too, and hope to find time to offer it up for sale or swap. Finding the time is the biggest challenge though (sigh). Can't wait to see the new things you're planning. Hugs xox

These are wonderful! I keep boxes full of images from magazines, and then rarely look at them again. This is a great idea!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feel like spring cleaning after the holidays. ;) The collages are a wonderful idea - my inspiration board is getting a little too full!

makes me want to tear up some magazines ;)
Looks yummy and loads of fun stuff to inspire

Those pages are beautiful. I do the same with old magazines. It sure works for great inspiration!

Love your pages! I'm in the middle of my clearing the clutter as well! It's tiring yet energizing! Very emotional actually. Looks like your doing a good job!

Wow! But you have been crafting! Those collages are great, very inspiring. I love how you've grouped colours together.

I usually get the decluttering bug in January too, but this year it seems to be hiding from me, so if you have a tag sale, please let me know! ;-)

Such a great idea! So lovely to look at, I have tons of pages I've torn out from magazines. What a great way to have them out to look at them.

I know what I'm going to be doing this weekend with all my piles of magazines!! Great Idea!!

thanks for sharing! I keep my magazine pages in a binder, but haven't made a collage, but it is a grand idea.

love the first room.

Wow, what an incredibly great idea- your collages really are inspiring!

That is a brilliant idea. I use to be a magazine junkie. I had to go cold turkey when I stopped working!

Great idea!! I love the quilt(?) in the first pic. Is it made out of handkerchiefs?

These are beautiful! They are artworks in themselves!
