Weeding through my magazine piles, I've made some more collages of favorite pictures and images that inspire me. Maybe they will inspire you too!

This is so inspiring! I have - somewhere - the start of such a journal, now I need to unearth it and work on it some more. Thank you so much for sharing.

I do this too. I keep mine in a spiral notebook. You can see one currently on my blog...often these become "treasure maps" and the images will later materialize in my life.
Did you scan your collages for this post? I haven't had great luck photographing mine and could use some advice.
Nice!

hi miss bella dia,I love the collages!I always find it so relaxing to make them.It reminds me of when I was little I guess, when I would just cut and glue away without the stress of having to paint something. But yours look amazing!Real artwork.Bye Desirée

When I was a kid, I took pages out of I don't know how many magazines and wallpapered my whole room!!! And I remember my mom having a cow right there in my doorway when she came to see what I was doing! lol!

I do this too! I have a canvas covered with things like this. I like the idea of keep them in a notebook, though. I'll have to get a sketch pad and use it for that!
God bless!

I love your collages! In HS, I used to cut up magazines and cover my closet doors in collages. I should get back to that. It really is inspirational. Then maybe I could throw out some of the magazines!

hello bella! I do the same thing for my design work. I keep notebooks with sections(like, organic, ethnic textiles, tints, shades, hues, black and white, modern art, etc) and also notebooks with tear outs from each season from mags, catalogs and ads. My notebooks go back 8 years now, and it's really fun to go back and see how I've seen trends develop. I tore out the same pix of the black rock "path" around the rock ;0). Happy Day! Celeste

Those are lovely, and I even regognize some of the images that are floating around in my own files.
Could I ask what you use to glue them down? The look much smoother and less warped than mine usually do.

That's so funny - I cut out those bird softies, too, and they are in my inspiration notebook. Very cool.
