I finally made a tea cozy for my new teapot. I've been wanting to make one for awhile and this has been in the works for a couple of weeks. I spent so much time on it now I'm a little afraid to use it and I'm thinking I should make another for everyday use :)

The outside is all wool felt and it is lined with a felted wool sweater. I added a snap to make it a little more snug. The handle at the top is from the ribbing on the sweater.

A view of the back where I just kept it simple.

...and a close-up. I don't have a name for the design yet, any suggestions?

absolutely lovely! i have to go make one now! :D

I'm a Yank & I know how to make tea, but then my mum's a Brit. Your cozy is a prayer for sunny days-- prayer on nosun days... that's how it feels looking at that brilliantly colored cozy in November's gloom. Delightful!

I love the tea cosy and being British I drink a lot of tea, so I am going to make one just like yours and I hope it turns out as good. Now if Yanks could only learn how to make tea......

Simply beautiful. And so cheerful! Perfect for those times when you need a cup of tea to make you feel better. All those colours have to brighten your day :-)

Gorgeous! The flowers look like asters, so I'd suggest "Teaster" as a pattern name.
