Crochet Cloche

crochet cloche

I've been crocheting a lot lately. Maybe because we've been holed up in the house quite a bit while the snow piles up outside. It's really amazing all the snow we've been getting. Anyway, I made this little cloche hat for my daughter - well I actually started making it for myself but she saw it and liked it and I'm always happy when she likes something I'm making so I gladly gave it to her.

I don't have a pattern for you - I just made it up as I went. I single crocheted in the round for the top part then started doing that netting type stitch until it got to the right length. Real technical, I know ;) Actually, the flower is from Claire's flower pattern so you can get that here. Her flower scarf is adorable and I have that on my to-do list too.

Wow, February already?

Love that hat!

How pretty--both the cloche and the daughter--so nice to see her! (Grace will get another letter on its way soon.)

That cloche is gorgeous. Your daughter looks like she adores it!

Great hat! I'm loving all the cute things you're featuring!

Cute hat... but not as cute as your daughter! :)

Very, very cute!!I would covet it, too, if I saw it in progress! Your daughter is so beautiful.

We continue to receive snow here, too. I love it!

Love the video. How about doing one on granny squares?
OH, and PS... linked out to your felted needlecase on my blog!
Love it!

I'm going to give that very technical pattern a try (will have to look up netting stitch as I haven't tried that before). I know my daughter would love a hat like that (in brown - her favorite color - which I just happen to have several skeins of).

love the hat...will you sell them on your etsy shop?

I love yellow and love the style..your daughter is darling...makes a good model!

best,
carol

have to learn how to crochet!

Bella bella daughter!!!

Bella bella daughter!!!

Great hat. Love the colors. I see that you have Birds of Idaho to look at. I am from the Twin Falls area. I would love to see the Stellar Jay, what beautiful colors.
Have a great day and thanks for sharing with us.

So so cute, and your daughter is adorable!

The hat looks great on her and it seems like she is enjoying it!

Love that! Looks great :D

That looks so cute and it looks excelent on her.

The hat is so flattering on your beautiful daughter. Great color!

This looks real pretty!

Your daughter and the cloche are beautiful. I love the yellow you used, it's such a bright cheery color in the back drop of all that snow.

beautiful!

How sweet!

Ohhhhhh! I really like that. I don't crochet, though, or I'd try to make one myslef!
Happy Chinese New Year to you!
Terri

Oh what a sweet cloche. Cassi what a beautiful daughter you have, just like her mama. Clarice

this is very cute! I bet it's a big boost for your teenage (she looks to be in her teens in the pic)daughter to like something you crocheted. I often think about when I was a kid that "handmade" was not the coolest and I hope that now I'm not the uncool Aunt when I give handmade gifts. Oh how our perception changes as we age!

It's perfect and your daughter looks beautiful!
