Housekeeping
I am thrilled to death to have gotten one of these prints by Amy Ruppel from Tiny Showcase! Isn't it wonderful?! I love Amy's work and I'm so excited to add it to my little print collection.
I'm doing some housekeeping on my blog this week so if things seem a little jumbled around you'll know why. I'm making use of Typepad's "page" feature and also adding a book shop a la Jenny at Allsorts.
I've been doing a lot of thinking about where I want to take my blog and my handwork. Sometimes it's hard to separate out what you want to do versus what you think you are supposed to do. Know what I mean? You start down a road and then you think, "Hey, how'd I get here?" "Is this where I wanted to go?" It's all good - I just want to make sure I stay on my own path and not someone else's.
Thank you for all the crocheted hearts love! I really enjoy making the tutorials and it is so satisfying to know that you are using them. As some of you have mentioned in your comments there are a lot of uses for them. You can clip them onto twine (like I did) or you can crochet them together to make a garland. You can embroider on them, sew two together for a sachet or softie, stitch them onto cardstock for a handmade card, or use them to embellish your jeans or scarf. They'd be cute ornaments or gift tags; they can be sewn or crocheted together to make a scarf or table runner and they make great coasters. I thought they would make cute little pockets to hold love notes too :)

I loved the hearts! I tacked a lilac microspun heart onto some card stock to give my hubby on Valentine's.

Hi! I'm here via Artsy as she has linked to you today.
I love your crochet tutorials and as I'm the kind of person that needs to be shown, I just may pick up my crochet hook again one day!
Also wanted to say that I love the Swiss Chalet music box you featured in another post. I remember my great grandmother having one very similar to it!
Have a great day!

Wonderful print!! I always seem drawn to owls...
I know exactly what you mean about weighing out the purpose of your blog versus the time involved, etc, etc... Good luck finding your balance and purpose.

I SO admire your pincushions and would love to try working with wool. In looking around online, I'm really confused by all the different terms--felted wool, wool, wool roving, etc. Do you need to use a special needle? I would love a basic explanation of "wool" if you feel like posting. I just love your creations and musings.

That print is so lovely! I love pieces like that, it reminds me of Simone Shubuck's artwork.

Oooohhhhh...GREEN with envy over your Amy Ruppel print!! I love that one.
I'm loving your book list over there; it must be a typepad thing to be able to show the book photo. I need to make the switch from blogger to typepad, I think.
Are the birds coming showing up down there yet? It seems they're coming back early...

It is a beautiful print. Stop by and see my Meow Meow post - you're still in time for a 'free cat'.

I know what you mean about making those creative choices. Somehow, after a couple of posts about making things with felted sweaters, I became the blog expert about this. Hundreds of people visit Two Kitties every day just for that. And for me, it was so random. How did I get here? :)

Hi! I enjoy reading your blog so now I'm tagging you -- you're it! If you're interested in responding, just post 10 (or so) random facts about yourself on your blog. Then invite a few other bloggers you appreciate to do the same and the fun carries on!
Good luck with your blog housekeeping.
