Kvetch and Sketch
I keep a little sketchbook (3½" x 5") next to my bed and have been trying (key word here) to do a little drawing before I go to sleep every night. This is my most recent one and one of my favorites so I thought I'd share.
I have had a horrible cough for almost a week and I am ready to be rid of it. The coughing is wearing me out, zaps all my energy and makes my head pound every time I cough. Complain, complain.
We got out a little bit over the weekend to see if spring really is here to stay and I have to say I believe it is. Snow is melting, rivers are running and birds are taking up their summer homes. Picture taking was making me dizzy so I only took a few but it's nice to know that winter is behind us and we have greener days in our future.

hooray for spring's arrival! i love your sketch. that's a great idea- to try and do a little before bed each night. and maybe a little first thing in the morning, too- that would be a great way to start the day!

Sorry to hear about your cough. I hope you're feeling better soon.
I also sketch every (well almost every) night with the goal of improving my drawing skills.
I love your little sketch!!!

I have two home remedy you might want to try for a dry cough. I don't know how it works but it works. I've tried both.
1. 2 Tb. apple cider vinegar and 1Tb. honey warmed together and sipped.
2. 1/4 C. warm water and 1/2 tsp. turmeric sipped.
Hope this helps.

Oh yuck-----illness! I had a lingering cold for weeks and then when I was completely well, we experienced a horrible stomach flu! I'm ready for spring and health again!

Sorry you're feeling under the weather. Love that drawing. I think the small size is a good one - too much big space on a paper can be intimidating. Where to begin...

A daily doodle sounds like a nice idea, I really like the organic look of this one! I do a daily art card this year, and sometimes they are doodles too, but most of the time collage!

Sounds like some form of spring fever has got you down. It must be nice to live somewhere there are seasons! Stay in bed, drink lots of tea, don't worry about the housework: it'll wait for you.
Nice sketch, btw. Drawing daily is such a good habit; I intend to do the same with my 13 year old daughter over the summer break.
