Robots!

I've been working on these robots for about a week - building, gluing, painting, varnishing - and it has been so much fun! Do you like playing with all the different filters on Photoshop like I do? I don't know how to do much in Photoshop (another thing on my to-do list) but I love clicking through the various filters and oohing and aahing over the different looks. I thought the robots look like vintage toys in this photo.
Here they are under normal conditions. I haven't given them names yet because I am so name-giving challenged (see, I can't even think of a name for my short coming, good grief!) so I am open to suggestions. Hopefully I'll have some of these guys and a few other new things I've been working on for sale in the shop fairly soon.

I love to play with Photoshop too, but I am really bad at it. You seem to play with it quite good.
Your robots are cute cute cute, and about their names, what about Bit and Bot?
(I am having a nephew and I am thinking on doing him things with robots, no doubt, you will be one of my inspirations)

Oh my goodness, I love them! And the phorographs are fantastic. We made some robots inspired by the book "Spoolcraft" but they don't look nearly as gorgeous -- more homemade than handmade :).

I look often in your other blog, I work with children and in that blog I found much ideas for my work.
In my blog I collect works, which I´ve made with "my" children and youngster.

that dog is too groovy cool .... well done .... and i'm thinking that being naming something challenged might be a short coming that would be easy to live with!!! unless you have like, twelve kids or something ....

Love that you used the cheese grater for background. Didn't quite know what it was in the first pic...very industrial looking. Very creative indeed!

I have named them. The robots should be Ratchet and Clank and the little dog should be Toot.

Yes, I too love playing with Photoshop filters. Which filter/s did you use to obtain the "vintage toy" effect? Looks cool!
