Vintage Sewing Cards
and Paper Dolls

I picked up this cute box of paper dolls on my last thrift shop outing. It was taped up so I didn't know what I would be getting but I had a pleasant surprise. The original doll was not in the box but almost all of the paper clothing was there, uncut, ...
and a set of 5 adorable lacing cards as well!
I have scanned them all in and if you'd like a copy then email me (sea[at]cox-internet[dot]com) with "Paperdolls" and/or "Lacing Cards" in the header and I will send them to you. I'm planning on putting these on Lulu for easy downloading (no charge just convenience) but until I get it done I thought I would make them available through email.
*Now available for free download here!
The doll on the cover is the correct size for the clothing so you could print her out and use her for the model. The lacing cards should be printed on card stock and then use a small punch to make the holes. Of course, they can be used any way you'd like just make sure it's for personal use only. Enjoy!

Can anyone tell me what they used to punch the holes in these cute vintage lace cards. If I try using a handheld punch I have to make the cards to small in order to reach the holes. Can anyone help me?

Thank you thank you! I am a huge fan of vintage paper dolls. Have you seen "Betsy Johnson The First Ten Years"? Google it, you'll be in heaven!

Hello and thanks for sharing - I've made 2 kits for 2 friends and blogged a bit here http://georgiannacraft.blogspot.com/. I love the vintage style, after searching online all the new styles don't get it - the yarn is supposed to make lines on the picture, not just randomly lace the card!! Thanks again!

I have been looking for paper dolls just like that because I want to use them as magnets for the refrigerator...as in, make magnets from them. I think they are so cute :)

I like to thrift and love paper dolls, especially the ones from when I was a little girl. Thank you so much for these sweet paper dolls and lacing cards from back then.
You're the real doll!

Thank you! Thank you! My daughter (3) has been obsessed with some paper dolls I printed for her and will love these too. But the lacing dolls are the real find -- I was trying to make some of my own for her but these are perfect! Thanks for sharing!

Oh my goodness! My aunts must have had these, or my mom must have thrifted them when I was little because I totally remember those paper doll clothes! The little snow suit was my favorite, probably because we lived in CA and snow seemed such an exotic thing.
Cannot wait to print these for my girls. :) Thank you!

I loved paper dolls when I was little. (except I ripped their tabs rather often -- clumsy fingers)
What a great find!
