The Holocaust Museum of Houston is collecting 1.5 million handmade butterflies for an exhibition scheduled to open in the spring of 2012. Each butterfly represents one child that was a victim of the Holocaust. For details click here and for teaching ideas click here. What a great and beautiful idea! We love butterflies- I just posted my own "butterfly" tutorial yesterday- we have a flock of about 30 hanging from the chandelier. So fun and pretty!
