Aaack! Isn't this the cutest?! It's a little birdhouse box filled with cherry blossom cookies from Too Good Gourmet. They have tons more to choose from and they're only $6 a box. I think they would make great party favors too.

The holiday weekend brings several flea markets to town which I always look forward to but end up buying very little. I miss weekend flea markets from when I lived in California so my favorite part about going is just looking and enjoying the atmosphere. The prices get higher every year and it's tough for me to justify any purchases when I can get stuff at thrift stores for a fraction of the price. So...these buttons are my big purchase for the whole weekend! The seller had a huge box of buttons that I could have sorted through forever but I love the ones I got and I really do *need* these!

I think these are my favorites, especially the sombrero button, so cute!

Fabric!

Look at all these great fabrics that I got for $1 a yard! Isn't it amazing how exciting a good fabric deal can be? ;)

Violets are blue

African violets have always been a staple in my kitchen window so here is a pincushion of them! There's an opalescent bead nestled inside each flower. I'll be adding this one to the shop :)

Guess where I got these dishtowels? Nope, at Kmart! Can you believe it?! And they're not from the Martha Stewart line, just regular old Kmart. Someone's got it going on at Kmart headquarters!

Springtime Sewing Goodies

I'd love an Easter basket full of
these spring colored buttons but I'll settle for the ones I have here.

I'm really excited to
use this fabric for some handbags. It looks like the tweeds that are popular now but it's 100% cotton.

I'm curious to see where
this new technology will turn up next. First it's breath freshener, now it's hair gel...Aveda Control Tape. Add a little water and you have hair gel to touch up your hairstyle anytime, anywhere.

Easily Pleased

As you have probably seen, I'm
a fabricaholic and had to indulge myself on a shopping trip yesterday. I don't feel too bad though because they are all from Wal-Mart and very inexpensive. It's always fun for me to see what treasures I can find there ;)

I love little storage containers and find them hard to resist.

Now you know I must be pretty easy
to please because finding these cupcake liners made my day! I get so tired of those sickly yellow, pink, and teal ones from the grocery store so I'm always looking for fancier ones. It's amazing how little things can make you so happy!

And a little more crochet...a new flower
which looked so complicated in the book but wasn't very hard at all. I think I'm finally getting the knack for reading the patterns. I don't know about knitting patterns but the ones for crochet are like mental tongue twisters.

I thought I might do a blanket out of
these pineapple pattern squares and then attach a variety of flowers randomly across it. It'll take me forever though because I'm not too good at completing big projects.
