Peg dolls, clothes pin dolls, wood dolls... whatever you call them they are super cute, fun and easy! They make great gifts for siblings and friends too.
There are several different styles: the peg with the pointed end won't stand up on its own so you'll have to buy the little stand if you want them to stand up, the peg style with the flat bottom will stay up on its own but you can use the stand as well, and several shapes of the wood turnings that are very stable and perfect for little people making. Gather some fabric scraps, chenille stems, yarn, glue, paint brushes and some sort of paint: acrylic is great but tempera will do in a pinch.
All the supplies can be found at
your local craft store or you can buy online here and here.
Now have fun!
